Hello Hello this is your main CBC news specialist in geographically locating destination basically an expert in mapping skills here to talk about the most recent bad oil spillage in Alberta. With CBC news we've discovered about the glorious oil spill that was caused in five certain lakes, creeks, rivers. The name of each of these places are the Little buffalo lake, the red deer river, elk point, the slave lake and the red earth creek. All of these different areas have been sadly affected dearly due to the oil spill that occurred at Fort McMurray which flowed into all the little streams and lakes and then ended up all at these main big areas where there are many wild life which could've gotten harmed. On this map, I'm here to represent the five certain areas that've been affected by the oil spill. First in Little Buffalo, during April of 2011 there was a huge spill that leaked 4.5 million litres of crude oil which is pretty insane and bad. Second is the red deer river, which had another spill in 2012 of June where there was almost half a million of crude oil that leaked. Third is Elk point, which had a approximate amount of 230,000 litres of crude oil that leaked over in the time of June 2012. Fourth is Slave lake, which had a pipe failure that caused 70,000 litres of oil to leak in April of 2014. Last is the red earth creek, which occurred a couple months after the leak in Slave lake which was in November of 2014 that had a leak of 60,000 litres, but luckily there was no harm to the wildlife that was probably nearby. The last bit of info on this map is the danger zone basically the place where all the oil leaked into the pipelines from. In my opinion I feel like there was probably a mistake or an accident which caused all of this to occur in the first place. Sadly overall there were habitats that were destroyed such as a beaver pond but most importantly the entire water source in general which also caused damage to animals that must've been nearby. Well well, I thank you all very much for reading this report on the endangerment to the pipelines which all corresponds to these different lakes/streams/rivers which sadly harmed the wildlife.

Something interesting that I find about Canada's progress towards greenhouse gas emission reductions is that
Many of the cities and countries in the world have ton of different ways to celebrate Christmas but Iḿ going to be talking about one certain city, Mexico. In Mexico there is a special Christmas celebration that is always held which is called the las posadas. Las posadas is the start of the celebration of things which begins on December 12th to January 6th. Throughout this celebration there are many things such as looking at nativity scenes, poinsettias and Christmas shoes. The ninth evening of las posadas is called Buena Noche which is basically Christmas eve, the where Children attend the church and there takes part of many events which I talked about earlier and finally to end it all off everyone attends a midnight mass in the church before Christmas day. In my opinion I find it really fun and cool that everyone and their own culture could have their own types of celebrations for the holidays which is really nice.
MapAction is a website that constantly sends mapping information that is all around the world which has to do with different natural disasters for example, floods and earthquakes etc. They always give us updates on whats happening and where. They have groups of people which all work together to prevent or fix natural disasters. We could all help if we donate to their website which supports them and their forces to try and fix all the natural disasters and problems that's going on all around the earth. For example, right now in Djibouti there are many floods going on which have affected up to 250,000 people, two members from MapAction are going there to try to see whats going on so they can bring in reinforcements to help fix the flooding issue that's causing the lives of many people.
I think that the situation about water and plastic with plastic being overflowed in water and all sorts of trash is very horrific not just for humans but for our animals as well. I feel like we can change our ways as how we act as humans when we deal with plastic instead of trashing it just for it to be dumped by a landfill where animals are exposed to this and they end up picking it up and consuming it which is not good for animals to deal with. Instead of trashing plastics we can send it to someone who specializes with dealing with plastic for example, Mrs. Ellen MacArthur. She deals with leftover plastic which she can get her hands on and she instead reuses it for good use for our economy by making a variety of things out of the plastic. I think that if us humans become more aware of how we use plastic items or just anything that is plastic then I think that we can deal with this mess which is over polluting our lakes and Oceans with enormous amount of plastic and trash which all harms our environment really dearly. We can make sure that our plastic never goes to waste by using it really thoughtfully and reusing and not trashing it.
In my opinion I think that the biggest threat right now that is causing climate change at its worse would have to be global warming. Global warming has been going on for many years now because of all the things us human do nowadays to pollute the earth which is either by burning fossil fuels, using too much current or by using to much natural gas for example, in cars. All of these things cause carbon dioxide emissions which pollutes the earth with CO2 which is really bad for the environment we live in today. All of this also causes something which is known as greenhouse gases which is a layer of gases that surround the earth, trapping the suns heat causing it to warm up the earth too much which is messing up our environment for example, glaciers are all starting to melt and that's all caused due to global warming because the habitat up north is getting destroyed with all the melting glaciers. I really think that all of this should stop so something that I would probably do in the future as an adult to stop the mass production of global warming would be to raise awareness to stop pollution which could be to stop over using gases and for factories to stop burning so many fossil fuels which is slowly killing our earth everyday. If I try my best and my hardest, I truly believe that I can make a change to stop global warming in this world.
My thoughts on public transit is that it can be very very reliable sometimes but not really at all times. To me if I had the choice between taking a transit or my own car somewhere I would definitely take my own car there because you driving yourself is way more reliable then trusting all your time to get somewhere on a transit. Public Transits can be very irritating sometimes when it comes to time, for example, if you are designated to get somewhere like a workplace you would want to arrive there at a certain time so you don't miss work and get late. Transits can sometimes have that problem where its too much of a cluster of people that they might take a while which sometimes may also feel like forever. Overall in the end, transits can get you to where you need to go whenever you may need to take a transit but personally in my opinion I wouldn't really prefer transit when I have a car, but if I ever have to go somewhere and I have no other transportation then I would have to rely on the transit.
To me, when it comes to city building through a human scale I feel like it is very important because the humans are the main conductors of the city which means to me that humans are the ones that are always in and about the city basically the ones who mainly build up a city. Humans travel a lot in cities such as by walking, biking or driving. Most humans live in urban areas because its more closer for them to get to places where they want or need to go. I feel like the ancient way sorta ties with the urban way now because obviously back then driving was vary but nowadays driving is like a everyday thing which is very essential to humans, but back then it was more like walking to places which is very key and easy to do because walking doesn't use up gas or anything like that like cars which is why walking is more essential and also why the human scale depends a lot when you are building a city.
